IMPROVED WITH AGE!

Our parents brought my sister and I to Court of the Two Sisters in New Orleans when I was 12 and my sister 9. I wanted to revisit it to see if I remembered anything about this testament to elegant New Orleans' food and jazz, so I dragged Calicia and Heidi with me down Memory Lane to its signature repast, Court of the Two Sisters' "Jazz Brunch."
Every traditional New Orleans food under the sun ... we didn't eat again until the following day!
Indoors, in case of rain.
It didn't rain!
When you're a self-absorbed 12 year old, with raging hormones, starting to grow boobs, losing baby fat, wanting to be anywhere but with your parents ... I didn't remember too much about Court of the Two Sisters. Memories rekindled now, I'm learning to appreciate the fine art of aging. Honest! I AM!

Sounds like you had better luck at the "jazz brunch" at the Court of the Two Sisters than we did; the buffet ran out of food and the band never showed up again after their announced "break"!

I remember the Court of Two Sisters. My Aunt June used to take my sister and I to have lunch there. That was back in the late 50's - early 60's or so. We loved it! I just remember sitting outside in the courtyard under the trees. Everything was so gracious. We wore little white gloves, and of course, dresses. I can't remember if we wore hats or not. Lawdy that takes me back.
